$12,300,000 SETTLEMENT
Inside staffing recruiters for a national health care company sued their employer claiming that they were misclassified as exempt from federal and state overtime laws. They claimed that because of their job duties, they were not properly considered exempt from overtime under either the executive employee or administrative employee exemptions. After winning conditional certification of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act claims on behalf of staffing recruiters employed by the company throughout the United States, the case settled for $12,300,000.
