$6,000,000 SETTLEMENT
Call center employees employed at a national provider of internet, cable television and telephone services sued to recover unpaid wages and overtime pay for unpaid time they spent at the beginning and end of each work day. Specifically, the employees alleged they spent as much as 30 minutes each morning performing work for their employer before they were permitted to log-in to the company’s time-keeping software. After the employees won their class certification motion, the case settled for $6,000,000.
